The Staten Island Ferry is a passenger ferry between Manhattan and Staten Island. The ride takes about 25 minutes and it’s free of charge. The ferry offers magnificent views of the southern skyline of Manhattan and of the Statue of Liberty. Many tourists prefer a ride on the Staten Island Ferry instead of the expensive boat tours to Liberty Island, where the Statue of Liberty is standing.
